Gou ji is a type of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herb that is commonly used to promote healthy liver and kidney function, especially for lower back pain.
In TCM theory, gou ji has a warm nature and is often use to balance yin-yang energy. Gou ji improve joint health by relieving joint pain caused by wind, cold and dampness, hence strengthening one's waist, knees, tendons and bones.
When combined with other herbs, Gou ji can also be used to improve liver and kidney function, as well as prevent deficiencies such as frequent urination, incontinence, abnormal vagial discharges and involuntary seminal discharge.
